A full-day camp offering exclusively for children entering Pre-K and Kindergarten (Fall 2026). Children will experience all the fun of a traditional day camp in a structured and safe environment. Specialized on-site entertainment is scheduled almost daily and lunch is provided at no additional cost every day of the week.

Our department recognizes the importance of offering this essential service and the need for the youth in our community to interact with their peers over the summer break. The Ellington Day Camp has been active for over thirty-five consecutive years. Through the years, our youth have taken part in many fun and exciting activities including sports, arts and crafts, games, STEM activities, community service projects and other special events. We look forward to continuing this tradition of summer fun!

Give your pre-teen or teen the freedom they crave by enrolling them in this fun, safe and supervised local travel experience based camp! Each day participants will be transported by bus or charter to the most sought after field trip venues throughout southern New England and upon arrival, participants will experience all the venue has to offer under the watchful eyes of our most experienced counselors.

When: Week 1- July 20th - 23rd (4 days) Week 2 - July 27th -30th (4 days)

Ellington's Emerging Leaders Program is a competitive, four-day leadership development experience for motivated students entering 9th or 10th grade. Participants will serve as leaders in training while engaging in hands-on leadership activities, team building, community service, and job exploration with Town of Ellington departments.
Emerging Leaders are selected through an application and interview process and are offered an official position by the Town of Ellington. Up to 10 students will be selected.
Dates: July 13th - July 16th (4 days)
