During the Governor’s November 19 news briefing he announced that effective November 23, 2020 all youth sports would be mandated to cease activities until no earlier than January 19, 2021. As such all of our in-person indoor activities are postponed until further notice. With that said the benefits or recreational and leisure activities are boundless and their importance from a social, emotional and educational perspective cannot be overstated. As such our department will be expanding on our virtual offerings and we will continue to keep all stakeholders appraised on developments for the eventual return to activities. For all updates on upcoming programs including our popular youth basketball program please continue to monitor our Facebook Page and Website for further information.
Registration begins Friday, January 22 through Monday, February 1, 2021 with modifications outlined here.
Per Governor’s orders, effective immediately, all Town of Ellington athletic fields and amenities are closed for group activities until further notice.

Check it out! Local Eagle Scout candidate Max Sadlak with the help of his excellent team designed, constructed, and installed signage at both of the entryways to Robert Tedford Memorial Park. On the front of the sign is a detailed map of our extensive network of athletic fields and on the back is a detailed history of the park, its events and information about the amazing town residents that helped make the park a reality! Please join us in commending Max’s hard work and dedication to improving our beautiful town!
