The Recreation Department has a certified AED/First Aid/CPR Instructor Kristen Harp on staff. New classes have been scheduled that will allow all Ellington coaches, athletic officials, program instructors, and staff of Ellington Recreation sponsored sports and activities to get certified. Please understand that each coach is required to complete this training.There is a minimum of 4 participants required to run the class (Max. 10). Ellington Hiking Club

This group takes a hike every Tuesday, a new site each week, and site notification is made the Monday prior (via email). Meet at Arbor Park Tuesday mornings at 9 am. Bring water, snack, sunscreen, and bug spray; wear proper footwear.
Pre-registration is required at the Recreation Office, 31 Arbor Way.

The Recreation Department, in an attempt to provide support services to all Town of Ellington coaches, has designed a pre-season coaches clinic that will discuss the very important aspects of coaching today’s youth. Attendance is required for all Ellington Recreation Department Coaches, regardless of the sport that an individual has or wishes to coach. Adult Tennis Programs  Outdoor

Adult Lessons 

Adults, those past high school age, join us on Monday evenings, starting August 26 for an hour of tennis instruction tailored to your level of play and need.

Cardio Tennis

Join us on Saturday mornings for the best low impact 1-hour mix of tennis and cardio exercises to both get you in shape to play tennis and to have you feeling better in general. Classes run weekly for a 6-week session.

Adult Co-ed Volleyball (Informal Program)

Adult CO-ED Badminton (Informal Program)

Thursday evenings
Ages 18 and up

Pickleball is a cross between tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Players use over sized ping pong paddles and a wiffle ball that moves slower than a tennis ball. The game is played on a badminton-size court that is divided by a 34-inch high net and the size of the court makes playing the game easier for baby-boomers and active seniors. Pickleball can be played as a singles or doubles game. Register online through Activenet.

Adult Wiffle Ball League

Ellington’s Ultimate Frisbee
